The Park

So we finally got moved and settled in our new house. Jill and Nellie and PJ came and helped us the whole weekend, so we went to the park to have some fun. Alex went down the slide and sat on a big plastic dinosaur and didn't seem to care at all. Pj had enough fun for the both of them though so it worked out well.

Cuz He's Awesome

So let me try to explain. Again my child has proven that he would rather be naked than have on a diaper. Only now the weather is nice enough to have him bolt outside and show the neighbors his birthday suit. And again, we are the kind of parents who just point and laugh rather than take him back inside. As for the second picture.... Jeff no longer has night classes so last night he put Alex's pajamas on him. And as you can see it is very much fat guy in a little coat... He is one HUGE kid popping out of his teeny tiny pjs. Don't worry, we are also the kind of parents who didn't change him. Why would we? So yesterday he decided he is a walker now. He has been taking a few steps here and there for a few weeks now, but yesterday he started taking 7 or 8 steps all the time. It was pretty awesome! He also has figured out how to go down stairs and steps without falling. It's a pretty good time watching him. Anyway, enjoy!

Clean Teeth are Good Teeth

So we have been pretty busy around here. Last week was Jeff's last week of classes, so he had portfolios and assignments due so he was swamped. I was busy trying to start packing (we move into a smaller house this weekend..) and Alex was busy going through a growth spurt. He is now 10 months old and wearing 12-18 month clothes. Big boy. Then on Saturday I did the Susan G. Komen race for the cure which was fun, and later that night we had our friend Avery's first Birthday party. The bottom pic is Alex and Avery, she is two months older, but she is actually just a little bit smaller than him. But they like to play together and have a good time. Also, apparently Alex LOVES to brush his teeth. That picture cracks me up, whenever he wants anything he opens up his mouth that wide. It's pretty awesome.

Idaho Falls

This past weekend Al and I went to Idaho Falls to hang out, we left Jeff here to do homework and watch the draft. It was awesome, I mean let's face it, everyone needs a break from Jeff every so often! ;0) So we mostly just did some hard core hanging out while I was there. Jill is officially looking pregnant, and dad's finger wiggles like a hot dog and twitches by itself. He's pretty much a freak show at this point, which is awesome. Alex also took his first steps this weekend. 3 steps all by himself which of course were to get his hands on a chocolate chip. No one ever said he doesn't like to eat.

We will be moving next month into a smaller cheaper house. It's a pretty cute cottage style house so we are pretty excited about that.

Spring done sprung!!

So it is finally getting warm here in Boise. Finally. We are still getting used to the the whole not being warm all year thing and not quite sure we like it. But we are remembering how excited you get for spring after you have had an actual winter. So a couple days ago it hit about 65, and Alex and the puppies LOVE to be outside. You can put that kid in the middle of the yard and he will just sit there playing with the grass and looking around. And both the dogs go outside and lounge around and keep an eye on him. So we all went outside and Alex and I blew bubbles while Jeff and the girls played fetch. I'm pretty happy we got a picture of Bear bouncing like that, she does it all the time. We realized we should have named her bunny instead of bear. But too late now! Happy Spring everyone!!

Easter!

So, Easter was a two day event around here. We went to a city easter egg scramble on Saturday morning where Alex got 3 eggs. He is 9 months after all, I was pretty impressed he got more than one. Then on Sunday we did an egg hunt and dinner at my friend Katie's house where he just followed all the other kids around and ate their candy. It was awesome! He loved tearing apart his easter basket and as you can see by the first pic, he loves Peeps. Honestly, who doesn't?

Lost the battle...

So, any of you that have met my son know that he doesn't like having his diaper changed. He hates it so much and he is such a little devil that he will lay there perfectly still while you take off his pants and his diaper, but the second it is off, he bolts. So today I got quite the kick out of his bare behind speed crawling away from me, and by the time I got the camera this was all I got. And I have now looked at this picture about 50 times and it still makes me laugh so hard I cry. My life, summed up in one sweet shot.
